The best method
Forcing, what makes our Dutch courses so effective
Our intensive Dutch courses prioritise speaking and interactivity. In small groups or one-on-one, the Forcing method pushes you to speak as much as possible with the support of our teachers. Over the course of sessions, the time dedicated to conversation increases to help you manipulate structures with greater fluency until you can naturally communicate in Dutch.
From the start of your courses, we assess your level according to the CEFR (A0 to C2) and set clear objectives. Then, your teacher gives you regular feedback and adapts the content according to your progress and difficulties. Thanks to our Nedaca@Home platform, you track your progress and access 7 days a week resources and exercises to practise between courses.
A course divided into three components
At the heart of our intensive Dutch courses, the Forcing method plays a central role. Implemented by all our teachers, who are all specifically trained in this approach, it forms the true backbone of our pedagogy. Designed to stimulate active learning and maintain a sustained pace, it allows each student to progress quickly, regardless of their starting level.
Each session includes three components:
Forced speaking
Intensive exercises that push you to actively use the language.
Grammar
All the rules to build sentences, conjugate verbs and make yourself understood. It is applied in the form of oral drills.
Conversation
Guided exchanges that strengthen your fluency and confidence.
A method adapted to all levels
BEGINNER LEVEL
We focus on Forcing and grammar to give you a solid foundation, while already integrating conversation moments to get you started from the beginning.
INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
Grammar takes less space and we spend more and more time discussing. Forcing is still there to boost your progress.
ADVANCED LEVEL
The priority is to speak! Conversation takes up almost all the time, grammar becomes occasional and Forcing pushes you to gain fluency and confidence.
100% immersion
You will speak / think / work in Dutch:
- during courses
- during breaks with other students (if you chose group courses)
